Chapter 540: Test Of Soul

Chapter 540: Test Of Soul

Chiron shook his head as he walked forward, passing through the holographic image of the three-headed Orc. "I’ll get what I want," he stated.

The three heads could only look at him and sigh, knowing that he could not be stopped. After all, it was obvious that they were just trying to waste his time, not wanting him to enter the room.

As Chiron stepped into the next room, he was immediately struck by how different it was from the outside world.

The atmosphere was thick with different energy that seemed to divide the room into two distinct halves. On one side, everything glowed with a golden, spiritual light, emanating warmth and a sense of peaceful lust, as if calling to one’s soul to flirt and entangle.

This side was suffused with golden spiritual energy, giving it an almost ethereal quality. The walls shimmered as if made of sunlight, and the air itself felt lighter, as though filled with a very thin trace of divinity. Naturally, this was the side that was the core of the previous Gold rank cultivator’s soul.

In stark contrast, the other half of the room was cloaked in dark, demonic energy.

This side radiated a sinister, oppressive aura, with shadows that seemed to writhe and twist of their own accord. The darkness was deep and all-consuming, pulling at Chiron’s very soul. The walls here were jagged and rough, as if carved from the very essence of malevolence, and the air was cloudy and suffocating, filled with an ominous, heavy presence.

At the exact center of this divide, where the two energies met but did not mix, were two glowing orbs. The golden orb on the spiritual side pulsed with a steady, comforting but lustful light, its brilliance radiating outward in waves of tranquility.

On the demonic side, the red orb glowed with a menacing intensity, its light flickering and throbbing like a heartbeat. Each pulse seemed to emit a whisper, faint and haunting, calling out from the darkness. The whispers were barely audible, like the susurrus of a distant storm, but they were unmistakable, their eerie, seductive tones wrapping around Chiron’s mind.

The moment he entered, an oppressive energy surged over him, forcing him to his knees. The sheer weight of the combined spiritual and demonic forces pressed down on him, making it hard to breathe. Sweat broke out on his forehead as he struggled against the overwhelming power. His heart pounded in his chest, each beat echoing the throbbing light of the red orb.

Chiron could hear the faint calling whispers from the dark side, originating from the red orb in the center.

The voices were insidious, promising power and strength, tempting him with the allure of the demonic energy. The golden orb, meanwhile, seemed to emanate a silent call to earthly lust. Nothing else, but simple unbridled lust.

"Hphm... We have handled him for ten thousand years, we can still handle him now. Just make sure that you hurry up."

On saying this, Chiron stood to his feet as he walked towards the golden orb.

Chiron had wanted to wait ten minutes so that he could use his powers as he was undergoing punishment from his sin of pride, but that was no longer a possibility. Meaning that he would have to do it the hard way.

This was the test of the soul, and Chiron had absolutely no idea of what he was going to have to face, but regardless, he had to do it anyway.

"Place your hand on my Dantain, carrying a bit of your blood." Dainca instructed.

Chiron nodded, and then he made a cut on his hand and then he placed it on the golden orb. The moment his hand touched it, Chiron felt his body freeze.

He could not move, and golden vein lines suddenly appeared on his arm, and chiron could feel himself pulled in.

On touching the core, he could see that it was not one, but three, that all made up one. Each part of a dantain for each each that had been developed.

And it all balanced perfectly.

Chiron could not help but feel the need to want to research on this, but while he was still musing to himself, he felt the tug at his soul.

It was as if a superior power had grabbed him like a piece of clothing and ripped him apart.

Chiron felt himself tear. And then it happened, a mirror formed before him, reflecting back at him. However, this image had a cocky smile on its face...
