Chapter 971: The Power You Don’t Know

Long Yue was clearly affected by Mo Qin’s power to reverse time; the only good thing was that the injuries Long Yue had previously sustained were now gone."Long Yue..." Mi Xiang called out to Long Yue and recounted what had just happened.

Long Yue’s expression turned uncertain; she knew Mo Qin likely had such ability and trusted Mi Xiang, without doubting that the events had indeed occurred.

But the more things were like this, the more Long Yue refused to give up.

Chen Guan could figure it out, so it was impossible for Long Yue not to understand.

The Sky Path was suddenly guarded by someone else, and such a powerful being at that, how could Long Yue not understand what this meant?

She was anxious to pull her clansmen out of this vortex, but faced with Mo Qin’s powers, she couldn’t break through.

If it were a true physical battle, Long Yue wouldn’t be afraid. Even if her body were pierced by Mo Qin’s golden light arrows, it wouldn’t be the end for Long Yue.

However, facing such bizarre powers, Long Yue was helpless.

She could only look towards Chen Guan behind her, placing her hopes on Chen Guan now.

Mi Xiang thought Long Yue was looking at her and shook her head with a bitter smile, saying, "I can’t break Mo Qin’s powers either."

Chen Guan had been thinking about how to counteract Mo Qin’s kind of power. Time power was most bizarre; if Chen Guan were to combat it, he might only modify his own Secret Law to prevent the time power from affecting his body.

But now Chen Guan was unwilling to step out and attract attention, so this method was naturally not feasible.

"Besides modifying the Secret Law, wanting to counteract such time power is indeed difficult," Chen Guan mused and, seeing Long Yue looking at him, transmitted: "I have a possible method, but not sure if it will work. If you’re willing to try, turn around and face Mo Qin. Try to stall for time, so I can tell you the method."

Long Yue had no other choice; upon hearing this, she immediately turned to look at Mo Qin.

"Long Yue, go back." Mo Qin sat in the pavilion, gently plucking the golden harp’s strings, and spoke calmly.

"Your Reverse Flow Power may not be unbreakable." Long Yue spoke, but her thoughts were focused on listening to Chen Guan’s message.

"Have you heard of reincarnation, the saying goes that after a Secret Spirit dies, only their physical form perishes, while the soul reincarnates to become new life. During this process, the soul’s memories might get erased, reincarnating as a blank soul into a new body... But some souls are too strong... their memories weren’t completely erased..."

"Mo Qin’s Reverse Flow Power essentially causes substances to reverse along their original trajectory, peeling away particles that intersect with you, and even the memories etched in your brain. But if your body is strong enough to consolidate and resist the reverse peeling, perhaps then you can break her Reverse Flow Power."

"I tried already, it’s not possible." Long Yue directly transmitted, thinking Chen Guan was talking nonsense. She had previously attempted with that mindset, yet even with her power, she couldn’t achieve what Chen Guan was saying and was still affected by the reverse peeling.

"It’s not that you can’t, but that you haven’t developed your abilities enough... you don’t know how to use your power... what you manifest... is only a small part of your own power..." Chen Guan activated the Spirit of the Cheerleaders.

He didn’t want to empower the Sky Secret Spirit, but he was more curious about what kind of place the Sky Garden really was and more eager to help the Virgo Race break free from the control of the Sky City.

If the Virgo Race succeeded, then other Secret Spirits would dare to follow suit; the more spirit races break away from the Sky City, the less pressure humanity will have in the future.

Long Yue listened to Chen Guan’s words but found them laughable.

She possessed a realm without flaws; if others might not be able to activate their power fully, that would be understandable.

She couldn’t possibly have that problem; no one knew better than her how to utilize her own power.

Before she could respond, Chen Guan continued: "The power I speak of is not the power you know. The power you control is only the power you know; within your body lies a force you are unaware of, or potential. You think you can fully control your power, but what you control is only a small fraction. The true power is dormant in the unknown parts of your body; if you can activate these dormant powers, maybe you can isolate the Reverse Flow Power."

"A power I can’t feel is no different from non-existent, right? Whether it exists or not, as long as I can’t sense its presence, it doesn’t exist to me." Long Yue was pragmatic and wasn’t easily swayed by Chen Guan’s claims about unknown powers.

"You may not sense it, but I can perceive its presence. In my perception, you are like an unparalleled gigantic star, only the energy burning on the surface illuminates billions of light-years. The power you use is only one ten-thousandth of it. Even so, you are already magnificent, but precisely because of this, you overlook the terrifying potential within..."

Chen Guan continued: "You can try to sense the power within me; if you can comprehend it, maybe it will help you perceive your own power."

Long Yue pretended to combat Mo Qin while sensing the power within Chen Guan.

She found it hard to believe Chen Guan’s words; if there were truly such tremendous power within her, it was impossible that she wouldn’t be able to feel it.

Yet, she hoped Chen Guan’s words were true; only then might she be able to bypass Mo Qin who guarded the Half-Day Pavilion.

Long Yue attempted to sense the power fluctuations in Chen Guan, only to find, surprisingly, that there was no fluctuation at all.

"Did he also grasp the realm without leakage?" Long Yue felt slightly taken aback.

Soon Long Yue was even more astonished because the so-called realm without leakage is a general concept, not truly achievable without any leakage.

It’s akin to movement in water; any slight action causes a change in water flow, so absolute stillness doesn’t exist.

The realm without leakage similarly implies prevention of most meaningless energy exchanges, keeping the energy highly independent and self-contained.

But, from Chen Guan, Long Yue indeed felt no energy information exchange, as if Chen Guan had wholly detached from this world.
