Chapter 903: The Witches of Hondura
Chapter 903: The Witches of Hondura
Ragran always appreciated people who could address things immediately without beating around the bush, and Ragran felt like he and Jason would really get along! Jason could also feel Ragran’s sincerity, and Jason nodded as he finally stood up and spoke to the three leaders while gesturing to Cersai and Juliet."These two are well-versed in the Dimensional Tax system, and I trust them to act in my absence. They’ll draft the new agreement, and you can discuss the percentages with them and relay the final decisions to the other worlds in the domain. When you’re finished with that, they’ll brief you on the Aquinas trade deals and the current timeline we’re working with."
Jason looked over at Cersai to make sure Cersai was following along, and Cersai nodded in understanding. Jason then looked at Juliet, and he smiled as Juliet mouthed ’be careful’ to him with a worried expression on her face. Juliet was more worried about Jason than the tax agreement, but Jason trusted Juliet to handle her work well, even if she was worried. Jason pat Juliet’s head gently and told her he would be fine before he turned to leave the room. The leaders were all surprised to see Jason leaving so quickly, and F’yame spoke up.
"Lord Jason, you’re leaving already? Don’t tell me you want to go fight the witch right now. Aren’t you going to prepare a plan? Or a team?"
"I don’t need a team, and I’m in a bit of a hurry to find out if this witch will be useful to me or not. Besides, I’m sure you want your trade routes to be cleared up as soon as possible. I just need to know if there is anything else about the witch that you want to tell me now?"
Jason looked over the three leaders calmly, but none of them said anything. The Witch of Calamity was difficult to deal with mainly because she had created a magical defensive system that allowed her to detect any intruders that came close to Hondura! The Elder Worlds weren’t capable of even rallying an army to attack the witch because the witch would detect them long before they arrived, and she would send an army of her mind-controlled minions to attack them! They didn’t have any more information.
Jason nodded before he continued speaking:
"Very well then, I’ll be on my way. Unless an unforeseen circumstance arises, I might be gone for a few days at most, so I’ll trust the Elder Worlds to handle any minor issues in my absence."
Jason’s last statement was directed towards Ragran, and the dwarf spoke confidently!
"In Rubik’s absence, we have already been dealing with multiple minor issues, so that will be no problem. We will continue to handle those problems until you return."
Jason thanked Ragran for his effort, and then Jason spoke to the system.
’Get me a pathway to Hondura. The quickest one.’
The system immediately answered.
[The shortest distance between Earth and Hondura is 26 Dimensional Jumps passing through the Jacarz Stardust Trail of the Eastern Corridor. The first Dimensional jump is five hundred kilometers east of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.]
Jason hummed thankfully before he activated [King’s Substitute], and he immediately vanished from the meeting room.

[The World of Hondura]
[The Witch’s Domain]
Hondura was a world that had a very dark and mysterious history. The world was made up of one large continent, which had multiple small towns and villages scattered around it! In the center of the continent was a large castle that belonged to the royal family, and everything about the world resembled the old medieval ages of Prince Arthur and Merlin! Hondura was home to many magical beasts that threatened the people, and even though the knights and warriors did their best to eradicate these beasts, it wasn’t until the first mage was born that the Hondurans finally began to gain the upper hand against them!
The first mage to ever appear in Hondura was a little girl born more than five hundred years ago. People had been shocked and curious about how it was possible for someone to possess the ability to use magic! People had only known beasts to possess that power, so it wasn’t normal to see it in a Honduran child! But as time passed, more and more mages started to be born in the world as magic in Hondura became more prevalent, and it didn’t take long for everyone to realise something strange about the mages! Every single mage in Hondura was a female, and there had never been a male born with the ability to use magic. People slowly accepted these ’witches’ in their daily lives and began living with them peacefully! The witches helped the Hondurans to fight back against the magical beasts that threatened them, and life became peaceful for the next few centuries.
But all of this changed when the 75th king of Hondura was coronated! King Jantrice was a man who had a deep hatred for witches and everything related to magic! When he was little, Jantrice had been kidnapped by a witch who wanted to blackmail his family for money. The witch had used mental coercion to force Jantrice to walk out of the palace and come to her in the forest, and even now Jantrice could still remember the sheer terror he had felt when his body moved without his command! Jantrice was somehow rescued safely, but a few years after that incident, Jantrice’s brother died when he accidentally touched a magic experiment a witch left out in the open!
Jantrice refused to believe that the witches were anything but a blight to society, and he made it his mission to eradicate every single witch from this world! No one should possess that much power, and Jantrice would make sure that no one did! The first thing Jantrice did was to spread propaganda about the witches! The witches of Hondura were a very secretive group who formed societies and initiated any new witch that was born into their secret society! The only way to know about their secrets was if you were a witch as well, and this made it easy for Jantrice to taint the reputation of the witches!
Every accident, every death, and every unexplainable phenomenon that happened in Hondura was blamed on a witch! Jantrice had village bards write songs about how the dangerous witches would come to take you at night, and he had his knights patrol the villages and towns for any sign of a witch that was using magic in the open! If they saw any witch doing that, then the guards would reprimand the witch right there and caution them about how dangerous they were and how they could kill somebody if they weren’t careful! Jantrice’s tactics obviously worked because after some time, there was a clear divide between the regular citizens of the world and the witches! The regular people began to see any sign of magic around them as something dangerous that could cause them harm, and the witches slowly became even more secretive since they believed that the Hondurans were being unfair to them!
Things became so tense between the two people that the head of the witches association in Hondura, a woman named Faya Vern, had to go and visit King Jantrice to speak to him about what was going on in the towns and villages! Faya knew that the tensions were already becoming far too high, and at this rate, something dangerous would happen that would cause a fight between the witches and the Hondurans. Faya wanted to plead with the king to warn his guards not to antagonize the witches anymore. Upon arriving at the castle, Faya was welcomed with open arms by King Jantrice, and there was a feast held to welcome her. Faya spoke to King Jantrice about her problems, and Faya could tell that King Jantrice was listening to her attentively and kindly.
