Chapter 755 489: Double Eagle Gold Coin

Chapter 755 489: Double Eagle Gold Coin

"Bang!"With the last gunshot echoing, only two people were left breathing in the clearing—Big Beard and Buck.

Big Beard was already terrified senseless, collapsing to his knees with a thud, clutching his wounded arm, incoherently pleading, "Don't kill me! I was wrong! For God's sake, please forgive my offense..."

Buck was even more frightened, paralyzed on the ground, unable to stand up, a large wet patch on his pants, his body trembling uncontrollably.

The situation changed too quickly; in the blink of an eye, they had turned from hunters into prey.

Qi Yun ignored these two guys and calmly took out his phone, dialing the number of Major Carlson.

"Major Carlson, hello, this is Qi Yun."

"Oh, Qi, glad to hear from you. How can I help you?"

Qi Yun glanced at the bodies scattered on the ground, "I ran into a bit of trouble near Virginia Town in Montana, a group of local thugs tried to rob us, and there was a shootout."

"There were about eight or nine of them, armed with hunting rifles. In self-defense, my people fired back. The trouble is temporarily resolved now."

"Oh! Those damned scoundrels!" Carlson responded indignantly upon hearing this, concernedly asking, "Qi, are any of your people injured? Do you need aid?"

"My people are fine, but the scene might need some tidying up. After all, we're in your country, and we don't want to cause unnecessary misunderstandings or investigations."

"Understood, Qi. Please give me your exact location, and I'll contact the local authorities to handle it right away."

Pausing for a moment, Carlson added, "Rest assured, you're just defending yourselves; there won't be any trouble."

"Okay, thank you, Major Carlson. I'll send you the detailed location by text."

"No need to be so formal, we are friends."

Qi Yun smiled slightly, thinking, USD really comes in handy.

After hanging up the phone, he pushed open the car door and got out. The air was still thick with the smell of blood, while Big Beard and Buck knelt upright under Brother Quan's watchful eye.

They had heard everything Qi Yun said, realizing that even if they were all killed here, he could walk away without a care, without fearing their families reporting to the police.

This time, they've really hit a hard wall.

"I think now we can have a calm conversation."

Qi Yun looked down at the two men.

Buck stammered, unable to speak clearly, "BOSS... I was wrong... I really was wrong... I was too greedy, spare us..."

"Please forgive our ignorance and offense, sir!" Big Beard spoke through gritted teeth against the pain in his arm, his voice trembling, no longer arrogant.

"We just wanted to... just make a joke, we didn't expect..."

Under Qi Yun's oppressive gaze, he didn't dare say anything more.

Qi Yun wasn't interested in listening to their nonsense, straightforwardly saying, "I'm looking for a mountain ridge shaped like a beak, it should be to the west. Now, whichever of you two can provide useful information will get to live."

"BOSS! I know!" Buck almost shouted as Qi Yun finished speaking, "I just remembered! It's about ten kilometers away! I've seen it!"

Afraid Qi Yun wouldn't believe him, he hastily added, "It's true! I hunted over there!"

"You better not be lying to me." Qi Yun stared at him, enunciating each word.

"BOSS, I'm telling the truth! Please believe me! I swear to God!"

Qi Yun nodded, stood up, "Alright, take me there, and I won't kill you."

"Okay... thank you..."

Buck hadn't even finished his thanks when Qi Yun stepped back two paces, and Brother Quan raised his gun, aiming at Big Beard's head.

The next second—"Bang!"

The sudden explosion showered Buck's face with bits of brain matter. He watched Big Beard's wide-eyed body slowly collapse, his mind going blank.

Qi Yun was already seated in the car, Brother Quan kicked Buck, startling him awake from the nightmare, his face filled with fear.

"Lead the way."

"Yes! Yes!" Buck scrambled into the car.

Two Raptors roared to life again, heading towards the northwest.

The journey was silent, only the engines growling.

Buck huddled in the passenger seat, barely occupying half of it, nerves highly strung, occasionally stealing glances at Qi Yun through the rearview mirror, quickly averting his gaze.

About twenty minutes later, the car arrived at the fork of a canyon, with weathered red cliffs on both sides, and numerous collapsed rock piles on the ground.

"Left... to the left," Buck murmured.

Brother Quan didn't hesitate, turning the steering wheel as the Raptor bulldozed a path through the rocks.

After painstakingly navigating a kilometer through the crevices, the view ahead widened, revealing a relatively open valley, resembling the remains of a small natural quarry.

On the left side of that valley, there was a protruding ridge, or rather more accurately described as a cliff. Its shape was quite peculiar, with a natural hook at the top, resembling an eagle's beak under the sunlight.

Thanks to being surrounded by towering cliffs, this peculiar structure remained relatively intact despite the long years of erosion.

"BOSS, Eagle's Beak Rock, what you're looking for is there." Buck nervously pointed ahead.

Qi Yun observed for a moment, thinking the location matched the description in the book, and instructed Brother Quan to continue driving north.

Another two kilometers along, they reached a slope that wasn't too steep, covered with rubble and thorn bushes, seeming like no one had been there.

Qi Yun gestured to stop, got out, and began to observe up close.
