Yuan's Ascension

Chapter 827: Spacetime Dao Master (2)

Chapter 827: Spacetime Dao Master (2)

An invisible force obscured many of his thoughts, making it difficult for his mind to function normally. However, this was after all Wu Yuan's second time arriving here, and compared to his previous descent, his power had grown far greater.

Hum~ Wu Yuan's mind stirred involuntarily.

Rustle~ rustle~ On either side of his consciousness avatar, two enigmatic and profound Dao pattern diagrams instantly materialized.

One diagram combined the Law of Life and the Law of Death; the other combined the Law of Time and the Law of Space.

Dao pattern diagrams of two Great Daos.

Whoosh~ With astonishing speed, strands of cryptic patterns extended from the two Great Dao pattern diagrams, merging into one, and forming a vast and majestic spiritual resonance.

At the very core, a dazzling, radiant blood-colored Dao pattern strand gleamed. The spiritual resonance of this blood-colored Dao pattern strand rivaled the purple light flickering within those divine mountains. And the power of the blood-colored Dao pattern strand was within Wu Yuan’s control.

These cryptic patterns transcend Greater Laws, surpassing even the Great Daos. During my last visit, I had already begun to comprehend a fraction of their profundities. Wu Yuan had fully remembered now.

Here, no force could suppress or erase his insights and thoughts any longer.

However, during my previous visit, the light flowing between these fifty-five divine mountains seemed to be blood-red, and what I ultimately comprehended was a blood-colored Dao pattern. Why is the light purple this time? A flicker of confusion passed through Wu Yuan's consciousness avatar.

Yet, although he was in a slightly better state compared to his first visit, his thoughts were still cloudy. He struggled to fully understand and clarify what had happened.

The Great Daos are flawed. What exists here are the truly perfect, eternally indestructible Dao resonances. Wu Yuan instinctively began to immerse himself in the profound Dao resonances emanating from the fifty-five divine mountains, overcome with the desire to thoroughly comprehend and master this power.

This was a power that transcended the Great Daos.

Previously, he had only grasped a fraction. Now, after tens of thousands of years of cultivation, his insights into the two Great Daos had deepened, and his progress had been immense.

At this moment, the two Dao pattern diagrams he had formed showed little sign of merging for the most part.

With his consciousness impaired and unable to grasp the full context, Wu Yuan ceased trying to understand his situation. He now followed the path he had once tread, once again contemplating the Dao resonances of the fifty-five divine mountains. This was instinct, just as a person withdrew their hand when touching something extremely hot.

As a peerless genius who simultaneously comprehended two Great Daos, when Wu Yuan's consciousness arrived in this place, his instinct was to imitate the vast and mighty power contained within the spiritual resonances and cryptic patterns of the numerous divine mountains.

He deduced, contemplated, and ultimately integrated it into his own understanding.

Time passed, But here, it seemed as if time did not flow.

On either side of Wu Yuan's consciousness avatar, two massive Dao pattern diagrams of the Great Daos began to merge and intertwine.

The degree of fusion rose steadily.

During his last contemplation session, blood light flowed between the divine mountains, and the cryptic patterns he had formed were also blood-colored in color. This time, the multitude of newly born cryptic patterns were purple in color.

Red and purple cryptic patterns were unified, yet they seemed to subtly oppose and collide with each other.

This clear process of forgetting was more painful than a vague, confused oblivion, as one could only watch helplessly as it slipped away.

Nevertheless, Wu Yuan vaguely understood that this process of forgetting was not truly his own, but rather the work of a vast and invincible force carrying out the operational rules of heaven and earth.

It was merely suppressing and concealing his insights and gains, rather than completely erasing them. It was fundamentally impossible to erase them. The power of the Primordium was one that transcended the Great Dao.

If I enter that supreme, mysterious realm again, the many insights and memories that now seem forgotten should quickly come back to me. Wu Yuan pondered.

However, how could he enter that mysterious realm again? He did not know.

Or perhaps, I might become powerful enough to resist this force from the workings of heaven and earth. Wu Yuan contemplated.

If one became powerful enough, anything was possible. And in Wu Yuan's conjecture, the only way to achieve that step was transcendence. Upon transcending the constraints of heaven and earth, one was naturally no longer suppressed by the workings of heaven and earth.

Time flowed like a river!

Soon, his insights completely faded. No matter how Wu Yuan tried, he could not recall them. Even his memories began to slip away, until they vanished entirely.

From the moment Wu Yuan regained consciousness to the instant he forgot everything, less than half a breath passed.

...

Wu Yuan exhaled and slowly opened his eyes, a hint of bewilderment shimmering in his gaze. All that had transpired was now forgotten.

The only thing he could remember was grasping the sword's hilt at the very end, then falling asleep. And now, his eyes opened once more.

Did I succeed? Wu Yuan felt confused. No, that's not right. I grabbed the sword hilt... But where is the sword?

One moment later, Wu Yuan sensed it. In the upper dantian lobes of his two true selves, the black pagodas that had remained motionless for ten thousand years had actually relocated!

The black pagoda was now shifted to one side of the upper dantian lobe. It radiated light, occupying half the realm.

And in the other half of this internal world, a long sword of pure obsidian floated serenely.

The sword was majestic, no less imposing than the black pagoda. It emanated a purple glow, facing off against the black pagoda from afar, not yielding an inch.

This? Wu Yuan was utterly stunned, unable to believe his eyes.

Something that did not fear the black pagoda and could stand as its equal existed?

The black pagoda was a projection of the Ancestral Pagoda. The grandeur and supremacy of the Ancestral Pagoda needed no further explanation, and Wu Yuan had gained some insight into it as well.

But this black sword?
