"The person who asked you to kill Bai Yu wants to silence you. If I don't ask someone to take you away, do you think that you can live until now?" Yu Qi said.
Xiao Tengfei and Yuan Xiurong looked at each other for a while. Then, they turned to Yu Qi.
"What do you want us to do?" Xiao Tengfei asked.
Yu Qi's lips curved up. "I am glad that you understand your position. Bai Family wanted to sue me for medical malpractice. I want your testimony stating that you are the one who caused this patient's worsening condition."
"But that will expose what we had done to Bai Yu." Xiao Tengfei said.
He did not want that. Their reputation would be ruined.
"Do you think you have a choice here?" Yu Qi narrowed her eyes. She continued. "I heard that someone is after your life. Yours and your wife's lives. If you don't want to do as I request, I can let both of you go. You can think of a way to defend your lives. I think you have experienced it before my people got you. They will not stop until you die."
Yuan Xiurong trembled again as she remembered the attempts to take her life. She did not want to die yet. Xiao Tengfei was silent. Yuan Xiurong pulled her husband's hand.
"Tengfei..." Yuan Xiurong wanted her husband to accept this deal.
"What happens to us after we give our testimony?" Xiao Tengfei asked.
"I can not know the exact punishment that you can get. But your confession might reduce the amount of the punishment that you might get." Yu Qi stated. She chuckled. "I think it is better like that. Otherwise, you might die outside faster."
Xiao Tengfei had not answered Yu Qi yet. Yuan Xiurong was nervous waiting for her husband's choice.
